When will Spirit of Glace be done?

I don’t know yet, but I’ll be sure to post more info when I know it. The game is currently in alpha phase. It’s playable but still missing a lot of important features and content.

How different will Spirit of Glace be from the original 2004 game?

It will be very different from the original game - although definitely inspired by it. Spirit of Glace has an expanded story based on the original game, plus new gameplay mechanics, a new art style, and an open world. I’m being careful to balance the nostalgia and charm of the original game with the new features and mechanics in Spirit of Glace.

What about the music?

The music in Spirit of Glace is being created by the original composer from the 2004 game, Zachary Chavez, and includes refreshed versions from the original game plus entirely new tracks.

Do I need to play the original 2004 game to enjoy Spirit of Glace?

No. Spirit of Glace is a retelling of the story from the 2004 game, so you won’t miss out if you didn’t play the original.

Can I still play the original 2004 game?

We don’t yet have a version of the original game that works great on new computers… But I do plan to fix the classic game once Spirit of Glace is done, or close to done. Classic Glace will continue to be free.
